Started A New Book Today.

I started a new book today because the one I had been reading was extremely boring.  After putting Arthas by Christie Golden- a World of Warcraft book that I'm suppose to read for book club- on hold for a bit I started The Assassin's Accomplice by Kate Clifford Larson.  This is kind of a biography of Mary Surratt, but mainly just the story of her involvement with the Confederacy during the Civil War.
It's not as dry as it sounds!  I thought I'd need a drink by the first page but I was surprisingly wrong.  The author does very well to make this narrative entertaining and worth reading.  Now, I'm not exactly sure how accurate it is but it is extremely compelling.  I borrowed from my teacher before she even had the chance to read it I wanted it that bad.

  1. I seem to notice that when reading books about the Civil War, they can be really good or really bad (like THE RED BADGE OF COURAGE). I typically am very hesitant when reading a Civil War based book.

  2. Please, please, War between the States, or, as I prefer, the War of Northern Aggression! :)
