I Greatly dislike the Host.

No, not The Host by Stephanie Meyers.  Though I do have a few choice words for that sell-out.  Humph.  Anyway, I am speaking of the host from The Canterbury Tales.  He's rude, he's stupid, he can't tell a good story from a door knob.  He offended me greatly, HE CUT OFF MY FAVORITE STORY.  I really liked Sir Topaz and then he told the story teller that he was BORING.  He was NOT boring.  I loved his story.  Jackass.

    1. I think it's safe to say that you are the only person to ever say that I have energetic opinions.

  2. Wait. Stephanie Meyer wrote something other than Twilight? I just died a little on the inside.

    1. This made me giggle so hard.
Yes, she wrote something other than Twilight. The Host is some paranormal parasitic novel. I don't even want to go into it, I lost all respect for her when she let them ruin the Twilight series by turning it into a whore monger for money.

    2. Only Stephanie Meyer would turn a story about an alien species that invades bodies into a romance. (I read the wiki)

      Review Twilight next :D

    1. I do not, in fact, listen to medieval music. Now that I think about it, I feel like I am the kind of person who would... Anyway, no I am not familiar with "Child Ballad Three Ravens." Enlighten me, please.

  4. Ah, Three Ravens is a ballad of a knight who dies and leaves a dog, a hawk and a leman who are all faithful to him, guarding him and burying him, and the leman (read mistress)is pregnant by him, and that very day she buries him, dies herself of sorrow. (All this told by three hungry ravens discussing breakfast.) Oh for every knight to have such devoted followers! Cut to Twa Corbies, a Victorian parody. Two corbies (crows) are chatting in a tree about what they want for breakfast, and one notes a knight lies new slain and his hawk and hound are off gallivanting and his lady has already found a new lord... and they can eat him up with aplomb, especially the eyes! Long winded, but my connection is the parody part.... the host just couldn't take it anymore... But I liked it too! In fact, I like Twa Corbies better than Three Ravens for the humor.... so goes Sir Thopas. You can see performances of both songs on YouTube... here's a link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJcjFl2_wJo&feature=related and for the Child version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKpWEnN9bpc&feature=related. Enjoy....
